We've recently gotten our hands on the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard, and we're pretty impressed.
With a backlit LCD, 22 programmable keys, and a programmable joystick, the G13 is a pretty impressive piece of gaming technology. We found the unit itself to be rock solid in the middle of an intense firefight, and comfortable enough to use in a long World of Warcraft session (although we suspect it would work in just about any MMORPG).
Installation is a breeze: insert the included driver CD, install the software, and plug the unit in. Out of the box, this unit works with most any game as a joystick, although some games might detect it as a keyboard.
It's a solid, responsive unit, but there are some problems. For starters, it's essentially just a joystick with a lot of buttons. While the backlit LCD is a nice addition, its usefulness is questionable (especially if you already own a G15 keyboard). We also found the units usefulness in an FPS game like Counterstrike to be pretty dubious as any regular keyboard can do anything you need in that type of game.
Essentially, this unit is an $80 bunch of macro keys for World of Warcraft, making this a less than essential piece of gaming equipment.
While this isn't an essential addition to your gaming system, the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard is a great addition to any World of Warcraft (or MMO) gamer.
